Monroe County man charged in NJ hit-and-run

BELVIDERE NJ – A Saylorsburg man surrendered to authorities in Warren County NJ earlier this week, to face charges related to an accident that injured a 15-year-old boy.  Christopher Compton, 26, is accused of hitting the boy with his pickup late Friday night.  The boy reportedly sustained serious injuries.

Compton, who turned himself in Monday, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing injury, failure to report an accident and tampering with evidence. 

He is free on $50,000 bail.
