BUSHKILL – A large private community directly in the path of a controversial planned power line, reportedly has reached a settlement with PPL Electric Utilities, which is responsible for the Pennsylvania portion of the line.

The undisclosed financial settlement would cover mitigation costs. 

Residents and officials in Saw Creek were adamant in opposition to the line, which would follow an existing power line corridor, but the 200-foot towers would be more than twice the height of the existing line.
