Pike United Way moves into new home

L-R: Mike Donlon, UWPC Board Member, Joey Hunt, Drew Corry,
Brandon Angradi and Sue Robbins,

MILFORD - After three years on West George Street, the United Way of Pike County has moved downtown   United Way opened its new doors in the historic Schoolhouse Building on Harford Street.

Thanks to the efforts of Mike Donlon, Sue Robbins and their several helpers, boxes and equipment were loaded in, unpacked, organized, and, by day’s end, United Way was up and running.  “

We had a wonderful space on West George Street and are so grateful to Pike County Commissioners Caridi, Wagner and Forbes for their generosity”, said Catherine Capasso, Executive Director of the United Way.  “Our new location, in this former schoolhouse which holds so many memories for residents, is larger and so conveniently located.  I’m really pleased with the whole look of this new office space and hope any and every one will stop by and visit us. Nothing has changed about what we do, just where we do it!”.

The United Way is currently in full swing organizing the upcoming Day of Caring and 9/11 Annual Blood Drive, both to be held September 11, 2010.  For more information about how to be a part of these community events, please visit the United Way of Pike County website at www.unitedwaypike.org.
