EAST STROUDSBURG – Police believe they have dealt with the two dogs thought responsible for vicious attacks that left at least six cats and one deer dead in the East Stroudsburg area over the past week.  The dogs, a male and female now thought to be pit bull and Great Dane mix, were shot and wounded by police Tuesday morning, then euthanized by a veterinarian.

Police say the dogs were owned by Tiffany Staples, 22, of Stroudsburg, who has been in trouble with the law before, because of the dogs.  Staples may face new charges.
