NJ truck crash backs up traffic into Monroe County |

DELAWARE WATER GAP – A trailer carrying about 200 sheep and goats went out of control, overturning on Interstate 80, about a mile into New Jersey. The accident backed up traffic for many miles, well into Pennsylvania. It took authorities in New Jersey more than three hours to clean up the mess. Police say an Ohio man was driving a pick-up that was carrying the animals. He was bound for a slaughter plant in New York City, when he lost control while changing lanes, near the Kittatinny Point Visitor Center. The pick-up remained upright, but the trailer flipped on its side. The accident happened about 5:40 Thursday morning. |
