Man arrested after threatening to kill Long Pond woman

TUNHANNOCK TWP – Police are holding a Colorado man on multiple charges after he allegedly pulled a knife on a woman and threatened to kill her.  The incident happened about 7:30 Saturday evening at 1449 Courtright Rd in Long Pond. 

The victim, a 47-year-old Long Pond woman, told police that Gary Martins, 58, of Leadville CO, assaulted her and threatened to kill her multiple times.  He also allegedly rammed her vehicle with his, and threatened to run her down. 

Martins escaped before police arrived.  He was arrested a short time later and incarcerated on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.
