National Park Service sets hearings on power line

BUSHKILL – The National Park Service will hold its own series of public meetings on a power line that will cut through the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.  One of the hearings will be held Tuesday, February 16, at the Fernwood, very close to the planned route of the 500 kilovolt Susquehanna to Roseland power line.

The meeting is scheduled to run from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and will include an open house and presentation by NPS staff, then a public comment period.

The other hearings, both in New Jersey, will be held on successive nights:, Wednesday, February 17, at Camp Jefferson in Lake Hopatcong; and Thursday, February 18, at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel.
