Running dog leads to assault, endangering arrest

MILFORD TWP – Charges of simple assault and recklessly endangering have been filed against a Milford Township man after he fired up to ten shots at a dog, then pointed his .22 caliber rifle at the dog’s owner.  The incident happened December 11, but the charges were not revealed until this week.

Police say the dog, belonging to Jessie Korowaj, 28, ran into a neighbor’s property at 123 Evergreen Lane.  The resident at that address, Hermann Koch, 56, fired several shots in an attempt to scare the dog off his property, even though the dog was already running back toward where Korowaj was standing.

When confronted by the woman, Korowaj then pointed the rifle at her and started running hin her direction.
