Woman says she was beaten, robbed of $10,000 in cash

GREENE TWP – A Greentown woman claims she was severely beaten during a home invasion robbery and that the two men who entered her home stole over $10,000 in cash.

The 24-year-old woman told police that early Wednesday morning, the two suspects entered the bedroom of her Escape Development home, beat and kicked her severely, including hitting her in the head with a crowbar, then took $10,000 in currency and $300 in change, that was stored in the bedroom.

The woman was taken to CMC in Scranton for treatment, then released. 

The intruders are described as white males.  One is about 6’, heavy build.  The other is about 5’8”, husky build.  Both were wearing black masks, black pullover sweatshirts and black jeans.
