Moms  group  launches homeschool co‐op

DINGMANS  FERRY - A  new  homeschool  co‐op  has  started  in  Pike  County  located in  the  Speers  Lodge  at  Camp  Speers‐Eljabar,  in Dingmans  Ferry.  The  co‐op embraces  a  “think  out  of  the  Box”  philosophy  offering  grades  from  Preschool‐8th, with  an  emphasis  in  enrichment  classes  that  incorporate  natural  approaches  to teaching  and  learning  about  the  world  around  us.   

The  co‐op  emphasizes  in  educating  children  with  patience  along  with  implementing an  understanding  of  kindness  and  respect  to  our  envirnment  and  one  another.  It  is an  enrichment  program  that  incorporates  academic  classes  such  as,  Science, History, Art,  and  Math  offering  a  diverse  and  well  rounded  program  that  will  include elective  classes.    

Classes  are  facilitated  by  the  moms  and  rotated  on  a  monthly  basis.   Cost  of  the co‐op  is  $20.00  per  family  per  month.   The  co‐op  plans  on  building  an  organic garden  and  offering  a  diverse  program  some  included  are  Yoga,  cooking  and baking,  and  foreign  languages  in  addition  to  the  classes.  Orientation  is  February 25th  at  10:00AM‐1:00PM  and  the  first  day  of  classes  will  be  Thursday,  March  4, at  9:00am.
