BEAR CREEK TWP – Police say Kimberly Biggs-Keil, a French teacher at Swiftwater Intermediate School, died Tuesday night following a crash on Route 115, near Wilkes-Barre.  Biggs-Keil, 45, who lived in Wilkes-Barre, was driving north on Route 115, when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle that went out of control while trying to pass another vehicle. 

The accident was one of two fatal crashes in a week on a stretch of road known for unsafe driving.  PennDOT officials say they are looking at what can be done to slow drivers down.
