Mom charged with encouraging fight between daughter, another teen

LEHMAN TOWNSHIP – A mother is in the Pike County jail after allegedly setting up one fight between her 15-year-old daughter and another girl, then trying to arrange a rematch. 

Police say Lorraine Marcoux, 41, of Bushkill, engaged in an online web chat encouraging her daughter and the other girl, a 14-year-old, to enter into a physical altercation.  Marcoux drover her daughter to a specified location, then taunted the two girls into having a physical confrontation, which caused minor injuries to both girls.  The mother allegedly pulled the 14-year-oold by the hair to get her off her daughter.

Days later, Marcoux allegedly continued the online conversation, trying to encourage a rematch.

Marcoux is charged with two counts of corruption of minors, two counts of harassment, one count of endangering the welfare of children and one count of disorderly couduct.  She failed to post $2,500 bail.
