Man sentenced for threatening to kill trooper

MILFORD - Anthony Dees,  30, of Bushkill, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 11 ½ months to 23 months, pay a fine of $ 900.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 1 year for the crimes of Terroristic Threats, False Reports to a Law Enforcement Authority, and Driving while Operating Privileges are Suspended. On August 21, 2009 Dees gave Pennsylvania State Troopers false information relating to his identity. While trying to be fingerprinted he stated someone is going to die, and threatened to kill a State Trooper.

 

Several other sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph Kameen last week :

Sarah Conklin,  27, of Newton, NJ was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 9 month to 2 years, and ordered to pay a fine of $ 800 for the 2 counts of Forgery. On March 6, 2009, Conklin forged the signature on a credit card slip of another person to obtain merchandise from Wal-Mart and K-Mart in Westfall Township.

David Fortuna,  44, of Matamoras, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 30 days to 12 months, pay a fine of $ 2000.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 2 years for Driving Under the Influence on two separate occasions. On June 26, 2007, in Westfall Township, Fortuna was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. His blood alcohol level was .30%. In a separate incident on May 16, 2008, Fortuna lost control of his vehicle hitting another vehicle on Interstate 84 in Westfall Township. He refused to consent to a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol level.

Steven Krause,  48, of Matamoras, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 11 ½ months to 23 ½ months plus one year of probation, pay a fine of $ 700.00 and ordered to pay restitution $ 1,750.24 for the crimes of Simple Assault, and Possessing an Instrument of Crime. On June 25, 2008 at Mr. Spanky’s Bar and Grill in Dingman Township, Krause stabbed a person with a knife in the abdomen area after an argument.

Jennifer Toner,  40, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 6 months to 2 years and ordered to pay a fine of $ 300.00 for the crime of Theft by Unlawful Taking. Between July 19 and 21, 2009, Toner took Kool Cigarettes, lottery tickets, and $ 100.00 from the Xtra Mart in Blooming Grove Township while she was working her shift.

Chelsey Bartro,  18, of Lords Valley, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 48 hours to 6 months, pay a fine of $ 575.00 and had her driver’s license suspended for one year for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On July 12, 2009, Bartro was pulled over on Bushkill Falls Road in Lehman Township, and was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Her blood alcohol level was .145%

Frederick Rossi,  41, of Tafton, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 15 days to 1 year followed by an additional year of probation, and was ordered to pay a fine of $ 600.00 for the crime of Recklessly Endangering Another Person. On September 1, 2009 at Pocono Self Stor in Palmyra Township, Rossi struck two people with his 1994 GMC Jimmy causing injury.

Andrew Finnegan,  37, of Bushkill, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 30 days to 6 months, pay a fine of $ 1,500.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 1 year for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On July 10, 2009, Finnegan was pulled over on Bear Drive in Lehman Township. His blood alcohol level was .14%.

Vincent Stella,  20, of Clarks Green, PA was sentenced to probation without verdict for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance. On December 7, 2008 at the Lakewood 84 Exxon Gas Station in Greene Township, Stella was found in possession of heroin.

Steven Moureaux,  27, of Milford, PA was sentenced to he Pike County Jail for 90 days to 5 years, pay a fine of $ 1,500.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On August 8, 2009, in Westfall Township, Moureaux was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. His blood alcohol level was .185%.
