WILKES-BARRE – Fernando Gotay, of Tobyhanna, will spend 10 to 15 years in prison for killing a man during an apparent robbery attempt.  Prosecutors alleged that Gotay, 26, shot Donald Spry Jr., during a drug deal at a Wilkes-Barre home, in December 2008.

Earlier this month, jurors acquitted Gotay of a third degree murder charge, but convicted him of manslaughter. 

Last year, Gotay backed out of a plea deal that would have given him five to ten years in prison.
