BUSHKILL – The state will decide, possibly by th end of the year, on which of four applicants will get the final Category 3 casino license.  The Bushkill Group, owners of the Fernwood Resort, is one of those four. 

Fernwood has solid support from area residents.  All but two of 25 who testified at a Thursday hearing in Middle Smithfield Township, spoke strongly in favor. 

A Category 3 license allows existing resorts to operate up to 600 slot machines and 50 table games, for resort guests only.
