Armed robbers hit smoke shop |

STROUD TWP – Police are looking for two men who robbed Maxi’s Cigars on Route 611, late Saturday morning. The store is in the Stroud Plaza strip mall, a short distance from Stroud Mall. Police say the two men entered the store about 11:20, waited for customers who were in the store to leave, then approached the clerk, demanding money. One of the suspects displayed what appeared to be a large handgun. After getting money, the suspects pushed the female clerk out a rear door. The clerk went to an adjacent store and called 911. The suspects fled on foot. Both are black males, possibly in their 30s. Both were wearing dark sweatpants. One suspdect is between 5’7” and 5’8”, wearing sunglasses, white shirt and white baseball cap with black lettering. The other, who had the gun, is about 5’8” to 5’9”, medium build, small mustache, with a tan wide-brimmed hat. The men may be driving a white Ford Explorer or Expedition.
