HAMILTON TWP – Police say an 86-year-old woman was unhurt after being confronted by a burglar early Wednesday morning. 

The woman awoke about 2 a.m., and confronted the suspect, who had smashed a rear door window to gain entry.  The man, who had already rummaged through the house, demanded money then fled through the rear door of the Neola Road house.  He got away with about $400.

Police say the suspect is a tall male wearing a stocking hat.
