Suspect in New Jersey robbery arrested in Monroe County

TOBYHANNA – A Tobyhanna man wanted for the violent robbery of a Union Township NJ gas station on September 19, was arrested without incident, at his home in Monroe County.  Pocono Mountain Regional Police were contacted by authorities in Union County NJ, requesting assistance in serving an arrest warrant on Kyle Westry, 18, at his home on Country Place Drive. 

Westry is accused of robbing an attendant at a gas station, allegedly striking the victim with a handgun and discharging a round.  He fled with about $600 in cash. 

Westry was being held in the Monroe County jail pending extradition to New Jersey.
