Monroe may be split into two U.S. House districts |

HARRISBURG – A congressional redistricting plan released Tuesday would pull 11th District Representative Lou Barletta out of Monroe County. Tenth District Rep. Tom Marino, a Republican, would pick up part of Monroe. The other half of Monroe would be in the 17th District, currently represented by Democrat Tim Holden. “Although it was inevitable that the 10th Congressional District would change, I regret that I may no longer represent Luzerne, Montour and Wyoming counties where I have made many good friends and have had many enjoyable experiences”, said Marino. “I do welcome the opportunity to meet residents of Monroe, Mifflin, Juniata and Perry counties. Marino would keep all of Pike and Wayne counties. |
