Two charged with selling marihuana

MATAMORAS - State Police have arrested two men in connection with dealing marihuana in Matamoras Borough.   Police served search warrant on two Pennsylvania Avenue apartments, which resulted in the arrests of Brandon Garrett, 26, and Teline Cole, 38, both of Matamoras.

According the criminal complaint filed against Garrett, investigators placed telephone calls and arranged to purchase marihuana from him on several occasions. Garrett sold to undercover officers three separate times from his home in Matamoras. On the first date, Garrett sold five bags of marihuana to an undercover officer for $100. On the second date Garrett sold two bags for $40 to an undercover officer, and on the third date sold 5 bags of marihuana for $100. When investigators served a search warrant on Brandon Garrett’s residence they seized approximately one half pound of marihuana, a digital scale, packaging materials and a marihuana pipe.

Garrett has been charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, all felonies, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors.

According the criminal complaint filed against Teline Cole, investigators placed telephone calls to Cole to arrange the sale marihuana to an undercover officer on four separate occasions in Matamoras Borough. On the first date, Cole sold 3 bags of marihuana for $60 to an undercover officer. On the second, third and fourth date Cole sold 5 bags of marihuana to an undercover officer for $100. When investigators served a search warrant on Teline Cole’s residence they seized $173 in U.S. Currency, 2 bongs, a digital scale, and rolling papers.

Cole has been charged with four counts of delivery of a controlled substance, four counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, all felonies, and four counts of possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors

Garrett and Cole were arraigned and remanded to the Pike County Correctional Facility each in lieu of $250,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for both Garrett and Cole on December 28, at 11:30 a.m.
