Plane makes emergency landing in DWGNRA

BUSHKILL – A single-engine plane made a safe emergency landing in a cornfield off Route 209, north of Bushkill, Monday afternoon.  None of the four people on the plane, and no one the ground, was injured.

The single-engine Piper, en route from Boston to Philadelphia, apparently developed mechanical problems, forcing it down near Eshbach landing in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.  There is no word on how or when the plane will be removed.
