STROUDSBURG – A two to one vote during a final meeting of the year put the final approval on a budget that will hike the county tax levy by 23 percent.  Efforts to shrink the tax hike during Thursdsay’s special meeting were rejected.

The $99 million budget impacts some county services.  The work week for county employees will be shortened by five hours.  Health care costs will increase.
