Slot revenues steady statewide, down at Mount Airy

HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported today on its web site that total revenue generated through the play of slot machines at Pennsylvania casinos during October held steady compared to the amount generated a year ago.

According to the report, this October’s gross revenue at the 10 operating casinos from slot machine play was $197,174,198 compared to $197,459,415 of gross revenue in October 2010, a difference of just 0.14%.

The Board noted that revenue this past month was affected negatively due to the severe weather that occurred throughout much of Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 29th. Saturdays are historically one of the top revenue producing days of the week.

The Board also reported that the amount of tax revenue generated for the Commonwealth from slot machine play during this October was $107,385,386.
