STROUDSBURG – Two GOP newcomers were the big winners in the Monroe County Commissioner contest. 

John Moyer captured 30 percent of the vote.  Charles Garris was close behind.  Incumbent Democrat Suzanne McCool was far behind, but will be the minority commissioner. 

Incumbent Democrat Theresa Merli finished just out of the money.
