HONESDALE – The Wayne County Commissioners have been working on the proposed 2012 County budget. The County Commissioners say they will pass a balanced budget by the statutory deadline of December 31, While the business manager is still preparing the proposed budget figures, no tax increase is expected for 2012.

The public will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed budget at least 20 days before adoption. 

The budget process includes meeting with our department heads and elected officials as well as using calculations and estimates made by the commissioners and their staff.
