PORTER TWP – A PennDOT worker directing traffic at a Route 402 paving project was hurt after being hit by a dump truck that was backing up.  The accident happened near the Monroe County line, late Wednesday morning.

Police say George VanBrunt, 45, of Madison Township, was flown to a hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. 

As of late Wednesday, the investigation was continuing.  No charges had been filed.
