TOBYHANNA – Gunshots fired from a second floor apartment window caused a gas pump at a Sunoco station on the corner of Routes 611 and 423 to burst into flames early Tuesday morning.  The man who fired the shots was arrested, after a brief chase.  The weapon was recovered.

John Woods, of Lindenhurst NY, faces a felony charge of criminal mischief, and several misdemeanor charges including recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.  Woods is in the Monroe County jail. 

The fire caused extensive damage to the gas pump.  There were no injuries.
