Bids opened for new Pike library

MILFORD - The Pike County Library Board opened bids for the proposed new Pike County Library at a special meeting in the Milford Borough Building.

The lowest combined bid for general contracting was from Zitone Construction Co. for a total of $1,919,891. D.J. Heating and Air Conditioning had the lowest bid of $233,500 for the mechanical contract. The lowest electrical contract bid came from Urban Electrical Contractors for $233,926 and the lowest plumbing bid came from L.H. Reed & Sons for $124,830.

The bids will be reviewed.  A decision will be made in a week to ten days.

The library board will reveal the results at a special meeting to be announced on the library web site.
