Traffic stop leads to drug, child endangerment arrest

TUNKHANNOCK TWP – An Albrightsville man is being held on multiple charges following a traffic stop on Route 903, Friday night.  Police pulled over Joseph Romano, 26, after he crossed the center line.

Police observed the driver tossing several objects out of the vehicle.  The objects included three plastic bags containing large chunks of powder cocaine.  In the car, police found scales, paraphernalia and about $2,200 in cash.

Also in the car was the driver’s two-year-old son.

Romano was arraigned on several charges including possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.  Bail was set at $10,000.
