LACKAWAXEN TWP – Police are investigating the theft of about 2,000 feet of copper wire, used to operate train signals.  The wire was removed from track about 1.5 miles north of Scenic Drive.

The theft happened sometime between July 21 and August 1, but was not reported by police until yesterday.
