NY man gets six years in prison for using stolen credit card

MILFORD - Pike County President Judge Joseph Kameen issued the following criminal sentences:

William Garrison, 40, of Port Jervis, NY was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 3 to 6 years, and ordered to pay a fine of $800 for the crime of Access Device Fraud. On May 17, 2011, Garrison used another person’s credit card and made three purchases without their permission in Westfall Township.

Luke Bogert, 31, of Godeffroy, NY was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 1 to 3 years and ordered to pay a fine of $250 for the crime of Person not to Possess, Use, or Manufacture a Firearm. On October 31, 2011, in Westfall Township, Bogert, who was been previously been convicted of a felony, was found in possession of a Winchester 30-30 firearm.

Anthony Mesiti, 27, of Montague, NJ was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 1 to 12 months, and ordered to pay a fine of $500 for the crime of Receiving Stolen Property.  On June 16, 2011, in Westfall Township, Mesiti sold a Stihl Saw and diamond blade knowing it had been stolen.

Michael Rosario, 23, of Lackawaxen, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 7 months and 72 hours to 23 months, ordered to pay a fine of          $1,300 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence and Simple Assault. On July 4, 2011, in Palmyra Township, Rosario punched another person in the face causing injury. In a separate incident on July 12, 2011, Rosario was found to be driving under the influence and refused to submit to a chemical test to determine the amount of alcohol on his breath in Palmyra Township.

Joseph Michaels, 21, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 40 days to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $867 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence, and three motor vehicle code violations. On October 8, 2011 on SR 739 and Doolan Road in Dingman Township, Michaels was found to be driving under the influence after he was pulled over for speeding and swerving in and out of his lane of travel.

Anthony Praino, 21, of Milford, PA was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $100 for the crime of Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia. On April 4, 2011, in Milford Borough Praino was found in possession of a marihuana bong.

Jeffrey Homan, 20, of Greentown, PA was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $350 for the crime of Possession With Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia. On October 11, 2011, in Palmyra Township, Homan was found in possession of a hypodermic syringe.

Amber Geary, 36, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,125 and had her driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence, False Imprisonment and two motor vehicle code violations. On June 3, 2011 in Delaware Township, Geary blocked the roadway with her vehicle to prevent another person from passing. Geary was found to be driving under the influence with no insurance or inspection. Her blood alcohol level was .17%

Ora Hall, 72, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving under the Influence. On October 6, 2011, on Milford Road in Delaware Township, Hall was found to be driving under the influence. His blood alcohol level was .243%.

Boguslaw Wojtanowic, 34, of Garfield, NJ was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 73 days to 23 months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,200 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Driving Under the influence and Endangering the Welfare of Children. On May 29, 2008, Wojtanowic was found to be driving under the influence after he drove his vehicle off the road. He had a 6 year old passenger and a blood alcohol level of .16%.

Benjamin Butterworth, 25, of Richmond, VA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 1 to 12 months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,100 and had his drivers license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence and Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia. On May 29, 2011, at a DUI checkpoint in Westfall Township, Butterworth was found to be driving under the influence of marihuana. Butterworth was also found in possession of two glass marihuana smoking pipes.

Alexander Vittorio, 20, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 48 hours to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On September 17, 2011, Vittorio, being under the of 21 was found the driving under the influence in Dingman Township. His blood alcohol level was .043%.

Joseph Kreyling, 18, of Hawley, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 18 months to 5 years, and ordered to pay a fine of $600 for the crimes of Burglary and Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary. On February 4, 2012, Kreyling and his co-defendant kicked open the garage door of another person to enter the residence. Kreyling and his co-defendant also attempted to enter the shed of another residence in Lackawaxen Township.

Catlin Greiner, 18, of Hawley, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 48 hours to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and had her driver’s license suspended for 2 years for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence, Driving While Operating Privileges are Suspended, and Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. On October 16, 2011, Greiner drove her vehicle off the road into a tree on SR 390 in Palmyra Township without a license and under the influence of alcohol. Her blood alcohol level was .135%.

Sergio Varela-Jubin, 36, of Flushing, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 15 to 30 days, and ordered to pay a fine of $150 for the crime of Identity Theft. Between November 2006, and May 2011, Varela-Jubin used another person’s social security number on a job application in order to obtain employment while concealing that he was no longer legally allowed to remain in this country.

Paula Vogel, 29, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 1 to 6 months and ordered to pay a fine of $100 for the crime of Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia. On October 19, 2011, Vogel was found in possession of a metal spoon, 4 hypodermic needles, four Q-Tips and a cotton swab in Blooming Grove Township.

Marco Sciarrino, 26, of Hawley, PA was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $250 for the crime of Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia.  On November 25, 2011, in Palmyra Township, Sciarrino was found in possession of a glass marihuana smoking pipe.
