POCONOS - Due to the extremely dry conditions and the unusually high number of brush fires, the Dingman Township Board of Supervisors has placed a burning ban in effect in Dingman Township, effective immediately, until further notice.   Until the Ban is lifted, no outdoor fires are permitted. 

In Monroe County, Pocono and Stroud townships also reportedly have imposed burning bans.
