MOUNT POCONO – police took a suspect into custody a short time after a robbery at the East Stroudsburg Savings Association branch in mount Pocono, shortly after noon Thursday.  The suspect

The suspect entered the bank, inside the Weiss Supermarket, shortly after noon and demanded money, then fled.  Witnesses described the vehicle, which was later spotted on Route 611 and stopped.

Police have not released the identity of the man in custody, because an investigation is ongoing into whether he may be linked to other robberies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
