Pike County files for Community Development Block Grant

MILFORD - The Pike County Commissioners adopted a resolution after holding a public hearing to file for  the county’s Community Development Block Grant for 2012. The amount of the grant is $284,724.

The application will be filed by Friday with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development which administers the Federal Community Development Block Grants.

The requested funds would help three county projects. Project one would be $144,000 for Matamoras Borough emergency generators for their water supply. Project two would be $24,800 for  Shohola Township to improve parking at Rohman Park and project three at $ 48,000 would help Milford Borough with park recreation equipment. The last $31,924 would aide in program administration.
