LONG POND - One man was killed, nine others injured by lightning strikes during the scheduled race at Pocono Raceway on Sunday.  None of the victims, including the deceased have been identified by name, but the man killed reportedly was 41 years old.

He was dead on arrival at Pocono Medical Center. 

Another fan is in critical condition at Lehigh Valley Hospital.  Eight others sustained apparently minor injuries.

The scheduled 160-lap race was called because rain of after 98 laps.  That was just before the fatal lightning strike.
