Two slightly hurt when car swerves to miss deer

SHOHOLA TWP - It's a common occurrence in rural Pennsylvania - deer darting in front of cars.  Two people sustained minor injuries when it happened Monday morning on Route 434 near Worzel Road.

A car, driven by a 32-year-old woman from Montague NJ, was heading south when a deer jumped the guard rail and into the path of the car.  The driver went off the road and into a ditch.

The driver, and a 22-year-old male passenger, both wearing seatbelts, sustained minor injuries and were taken to a Port Jervis hospital for treatment.
