POCONO TWP - Police are holding a New York City man after he was found to have drugs during a routine traffic violation stop on Interstate 80 earlier this week.

Kevin Combs, 34, of the Bronx, was stopped Tuesday afternoon on I-80 west.  A police check revealed Combs was wanted in New York for a parole violation

A search of the vehicle revealed packets of heroin, more than 60 plastic bags used to package drugs and more than 500 empty wax packets. 

After Combs was arrested, police say he tried to eat the heroin packets. 

Combs is being held on multiple charges, including drug violations, tampering with evidence and being a fugitive.
