COOLBAUGH TWP – At approximately 2:30 a.m. Friday6, a patrol officer from Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department was conducting checks of the Coolbaugh Township Park in Tobyhanna.  He discovered two deceased males who were identified as Bertoldo Velez, 55, and Joseph King, 38, both of East Stroudsburg.

One victim was found dead inside a vehicle and the other was found on the ground next to the vehicle. Both suffered gunshot wounds but the cause and manner of death will not be announced until after completion of the autopsies which are scheduled Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

An investigation is currently underway lead by the Pocono Mountain Regional Po1ice Department, the Monroe County District Attorney's office with assistance by the Monroe County Coroner's office and the Pennsylvania State Police.

No arrests had been made as of Friday night.  Police say it does not appear to be a random act of violence.
