Bi-state DWI crackdown promised through Labor Day |

WESTFALL TWP – Police on both sides of the Delaware River will be looking for anyone showing signs of DWI or DUI, through Labor Day Monday. The crackdown actually began a week ago, as part of the nationwide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. “Thirteen percent of all holiday crashes in Pennsylvania are alcohol related; however, 41 percent of the fatal crashes during the holiday period in Pennsylvania are alcohol related”, noted David Everly, regional sobriety checkpoint coordinator for Pennsylvania’s North Central Regional DUI Enforcement Program.
