DINGMAN TWP – One man was killed, three passengers were hurt when their car crashed on Interstate 84 in Pike County.  The accident happened shortly after sunrise Sunday morning, at about mile marker 40.7, in Dingman Township.

Police say the driver, who was killed, was westbound when for unknown reasons, he lost control, leaving the road, hitting several trees and overturning in a ditch on the right shoulder.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, later died after being flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital.  His name has not been released.

Three passengers, all from West Hazleton, sustained minor to moderate injuries.  All three were wearing seatbelts.
