Director named for Pike County Training Complex

MILFORD - The Pike County Commissioners approved George Beodeker as the director of the new Pike County Training Complex located near the Pike County Jail off Route 739.  Beodeker will receive an annual salary of $42,000 and will begin his duties on March 5, 2012.

Beodeker is a 36 year veteran of Fire and Emergency Services. He retired as Chief of the Lyons, NJ Veterans Affairs Medical Center Fire Department in 2008. He is a past chief of the Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Department and is current training officer for the department. He was emergency management coordinator for the township and member of the Pike County LEPC from 1999-2007 where he was responsible for all aspects of emergency preparedness and planning for a growing semi-rural community of almost 7000 residents.

Beodecker holds an AA degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College, is nationally and state certified as a fire officer, instructor, hazmat IC and inspector, and possesses numerous certifications from FEMA.    He is a resident of Wild Acres.
