“Rainmakers” move up to snow

MILFORD - Boy Scout Troop 5 from Dingmans Ferry have experienced the distinct pleasure of having it rain each time they have an overnight camping trip; hence the name “The Rainmakers”.

On a recent overnighter at the Columns Museum, it didn’t rain.  It snowed.

Not that it mattered much; they were staying inside the building on a community service project that allowed for them to spend a night in the museum.  The boys, ranging in age from 11-17 assisted with maintenance, trash removal and assembling a new exhibit which will highlight the Wells Family of Milford.  Troop leader Kevan Kelly and the boys explored every inch of the building, sorted through artifacts and assisted the Museum Director in a successful clean up.

The Pike County Historical Society would like to thank Mr. Kelly, the chaperones, and especially these fabulous boys for all their hard work and community spirit.
