Pike County Court Sentencing

MILFORD – The following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph Kameen:

Andrea Kranz, 25, of Milford, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 1 to 3 years and ordered to pay a fine of $400 for the crimes of Simple Assault, Harassment, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. On March 6, 2011 in Dingman Township, Kranz struck and bit another person, who was holding an infant child, in the face, neck, and arms.

Dean Haberstumf, 44, of Greentown, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 6 months and 90 days to 18 months, ordered to pay a fine of        $2,500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 2 years for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence, Driving While Operating Privileges are Suspended, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. On October 29, 2010, in Palmyra Township, Haberstumf was found to be driving under the influence, in possession of two marihuana pipes and driving without a valid driver’s license. His blood alcohol level was .123%.

Robert Kane, 43, of Greentown, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 3 to 23 ½ months, and ordered to pay a fine of $400 for the crime of Unauthorized Sale or Transfer of a Firearm. On September 11, 2010, Kane, transferred of two firearms to another in Greene Township.

Brian Clarke, 35, of Shohola, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to 6 months followed by an additional 6 months of probation, ordered to pay a fine of $1,100 and had his driver’s license suspended for 1 years for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. On January 22, 2011, Clarke was found to be driving under the influence and in possession of a glass marihuana pipe in Dingman Township. His blood alcohol level was .208%.

Edward McAnally, 38, of Newfoundland, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 3 to 23 ½ months, and ordered to pay a fine of $1,250 for the crimes of Simple Assault, and Disorderly Conduct. On April 13, 2011, in Greene Township, McAnally blocked the roadway he was traveling on and yelled and threatened a person in another vehicle.

Steven Carota, 26, of Lords Valley, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 10 to 24 months followed by 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $2,300 for the crimes of Theft by Unlawful Taking, Criminal Mischief, and Harassment. On May 28, 2010, Carota caused damage to another person’s vehicle in Blooming Grove Township. In another incident in September 2010, Carota took various pieces of jewelry from another person in Blooming Grove Township. The last incident occurred on February 20, 2011, in Dingman Township where Carota struck another person, causing injury.

Luana Olpp, 50, of Greentown, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 1 to 12 months followed by an additional year of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $600 for the crimes of Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Bad Checks. Between February 2008 and February 2010, Olpp took over $10,000 in U.S. Currency from the Escape Property Owners Association in Greene Township. In a separate incident between July and August 2010, in Greene Township, Olpp issued 8 checks knowing they would not be honored by her bank.
