Park plans new lease for Cliff Park Inn and Golf Course

Main building at Cliff Park

BUSHKILL  - The National Park Service is proceeding with plans to establish a new lease for the management and operation of the Cliff Park Inn and Golf Course in Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

Park staff have completed assessments of the structural, electrical, plumbing, and related site conditions. National Park Service staff at the park and the Northeast Regional Office in Philadelphia are preparing a Request for Proposals (RFP). As soon as the RFP has been finalized and approved, public notice of its availability will be published in local newspapers and FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov). The contacts from interested parties are being recorded and all potential lessees will have the same opportunity to offer a proposal for operating the inn and golf course at the same time.

“We will make every effort to ensure the fairness and transparency of the process. We look forward to beginning a new chapter with a new partner who has the business expertise and the financial wherewithal to operate this historic inn and golf course in a successful manner,” said Superintendent John Donahue. “The National Park Service regards the Cliff Park Inn and Golf Course as too important to or local area and to our nation to allow anything but a successful partnership to flourish,” he added. Future news releases will provide more detailed information.
