Tot tossed from car, survives

PARADISE TWP – A two-month-old infant is alive, but still in the hospital for observation, after being thrown from a vehicle Saturday afternoon.  The vehicle was not moving at the time.

Police were called to the scene on Echo Farm Road to investigate a report of a domestic dispute between a man and woman.  The woman claimed the man slapped her then threw an infant car seat, with the baby still attached, out of the car onto the ground.

The infant was taken to Pocono Medical Center, then to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital for observation.

Police have not released any identities, or stated whether any charges have been filed.  The investigation continues.  Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 570-839-7701
