Daughter charged with biting mom

TOBYHANNA – Police charged a Pocono Farms East resident with several crimes after a domestic incident on Thursday.

Police were called to 5109 Belvedere Road to investigate the incident.  On arrival, a woman said she had an argument with her daughter, and that during the argument, the daughter bit her.  Police observed a bite mark and bruising.

At that time, police observed a vehicle driving past the residence.  They were advised that the daughter, Jessica Franks, 23, was driving the vehicle.  After stopping the vehicle, police detected a strong odor of marijuana.  A search also revealed heroin packaging and three syringes.

Franks was arrested and charged with simple assault, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
