Charges expected in pedestrian fatal

PALMYRA TWP (Pike) – State police expect to file charges against Philip Cise, who was driving a pickup that struck and killed a woman who was jogging along Route 507 early Monday morning.

Witnesses who saw it happen say Cise, 48, of Dover NJ, was wavering across the center line and shoulder lines, before striking Gabrielle Reuveni, 20, of Paramus NJ.  The accident remains under investigation.

Reuveni reportedly was the 2010 valedictorian at Paramus High School and was a student at Washington University in St. Louis.  She was a member of the school’s cross-country team, which won the NCAA Division III championship last year.

According to media reports, Cise has other problems, including stealing the pickup he was driving when he struck Reuveni, and with wielding an ax during an altercation at a McDonald’s in Rockaway NJ.
