STROUDSBURG – A Stroudsburg man is in jail after allegedly biting off part of another man’s ear during a fight.  The incident happened Saturday night at the home of Ricardo Acevedo-Rivera’s former girlfriend, on Second Street.

Police say Acevedo-Rivera, 31, apparently went to the home to retrieve a backpack, then refused to leave.  He then got into a confrontation with the woman’s 30-year-old son, during which a portion of the son’s ear was bitten off.

The victim was taken to the hospital.

Acevedo-Rivera is in the Monroe County jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.  He is charged with aggravated and simple assault, and other crimes.
