Table games revenue increases 15.5% in June |

HARRISBURG - Revenue from table games play at Pennsylvania casinos was $57.1 million in June 2012, according to a report released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. That represented a 15.5% increase in revenue from table games during June of this year compared to June of 2011. The June figure boosted table games revenue during the 2011/12 Fiscal Year to $663.9 million, an increase of 30.8% over the previous state Fiscal Year. The monthly report, posted on the Board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, shows $9.2 million in tax revenue generate from table games this June and a total tax revenue from table games during Fiscal Year 2011/12 of $107 million. Pennsylvania taxes gross revenue from table games at 16%. Of that amount, 14% goes the to the Commonwealth’s General Fund and 2% to the Local Share Assessment. Combined with the slot machine revenue generated in 2011/12, total combined revenue from casino gaming was $3,140,629,989 or 10% higher than in the 2010/11 Fiscal Year. Combined tax revenue from slot machines and table games for the 2011/2012 Fiscal Year was $1,452,526,837 compared to $1,365,365,989 produced the previous Fiscal Year.
