STROUD TWP - Members of the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office Detective Division executed a search warrant on the residence of Jerome Curry, Jr., 27, of Stroud Township.  An investigation into the online distribution of child pornography began in early April 2012 when a computer at Curry’s home was identified by an MCDA detective as trading child pornography using a peer to peer file sharing network. 

At Curry’s home, Detectives located and seized a laptop computer containing evidence of the possession and distribution of child pornography.  Detectives also located a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 

Curry was arrested and charged with possessing and distributing child pornography and possession of marijuana.  He was arraigned and committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail.

The Barrett Township Police Department and the Stroud Area Regional Police Department assisted in the execution of the search warrant.
